Improving Export Support in Kent

Posted on: 13th May 2019

Through the EU-funded SIE (SME Internationalisation Exchange) Project, Kent County Council and the Kent International Business (KIB) partners are reviewing the business support offer in Kent for exports and international trade.

This 4 year project has enabled us to learn from other European regions about how they provide the right assistance to businesses wishing to trade internationally as well as responding to recommendations highlighted from a Kent business school study looking at barriers to exporting. The study can be downloaded from the SIE project website.

A new phase of the project has recently begun where we’ll be making some improvements to Kent’s export support services by clarifying the KIB offer and testing out some new programmes of support. We’ll keep you updated via the KIB website.
